How Jared Got Involved
We got an early start in sprint car racing while I was watching my step-dad (Dale Lindberg) and my uncle (Matt McGee) race. That's how all this got started. As a kid, I remembered going to the races and wishing I was the one with feature winner trophy in my hands. At the age of 14 we got our start at it. Then, in the 2005 season, we picked up our first win in only 16 starts. And, of course, we wouldn't be able to do what we love every weekend without the support of my crew, family and sponsors. This upcoming season is going to be great, I will finally be racing in the same class with Dale, and beating him is a goal of mine and probably will be for a few years.
Racing History
We started late in the 2004 race season at I-90 Speedway in Hartord; we only ran 4 races that year. In 2005 we ran about one-half of the season at I-90. On our 16th start, we picked up our first career win. On cheater's Day we finished 3rd to Bret Mellenbrant and Clint Gardner. Also in '05, we finished 6th in points in the non-winged class and became the 2005 Rookie of the Year. In 2006, we will be running a full season in the 360 winged sprints at I-90, and plan to run a few shows in the non-winged division.
